Care & Repair Service

The Care and Repair Programme helps older people (over 65 years) to live safely and independently in their own homes by assisting with minor household maintenance jobs and gardening.

What is the Care & Repair Service?

The Care & Repair Service offers essential maintenance, minor repairs and garden clearance to eligible people who need some assistance with everyday tasks which will greatly improve their quality of life. The team also carries out work for Waterford City Council tenants.

No electrical, roofing or plumbing work is undertaken by the team.

The Care and Repair Service is operated through the TÚS Work Placement programme with an experienced team that are fully garda vetted.

This service is free of charge to eligible people but the cost of materials is not included.
